Business Analyst - ISE

Location: Riyadh

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join International Systems Engineering (ISE), a BAE Systems majority owned joint venture Company as a Business Analyst. The successful individual will be working for a company at the forefront of ISE commitment as part of the economic offset companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Working across the ISE Functions and Project Teams will offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of ISE in KSA.

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst you'll be shaping innovative solutions to problems, underpinned by robust delivery and engineering methods to deliver cutting edge capabilities that are not only essential to their business and they'll love to use.

  • Shaping and driving solution thinking for complex bids and delivery engagements (contracts worth SARmillion+, and overall team sizes of more than 20).
  • Working with Clients to understand their requirements and the provision of solutions following a structured methodology as appropriate to the project.
  • Responsible for making decisions associated with the requirements, their implementation and acceptance.
  • Defining solution requirements and working with solution architects in the provision of scalable and resilient applications.
  • Overseeing the implementation of the design in collaboration with other team members such as project managers, Solution Architects, Suppliers, etc.
  • Ensuring the design meets key functional and in particular non-functional requirements, enabling through life scenarios of the solution to be satisfied.
  • Makes tactical decisions and prioritizes activities associated with the requirements.
  • Leads on user/customer collaboration throughout all stages of work (i.e. bidding/definition, design, development/implementation and project closure phases).
  • Ensures Customer's needs/requirements are met through each work stage.
  • Builds appropriate and effective business relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.
  • Retaining overall ownership of the solution through delivery and transition into operation.
  • Directing estimation efforts to develop an understanding of potential solution costs and delivery timescales.
Job Requirements
Education & Professional Qualifications
  • Ideally have a University Degree in Business Administration, IT subject or related degree.
  • Exposure to TOGAF & ZACHMAN standards.
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum and waterfall methodologies.
  • Must be able to obtain SC Clearance.
Knowledge & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in supporting the delivery of medium sized projects. Experience in IM&T Digital skillsets (i.e. Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Development, Testing, Database & System Administration, Service Delivery, Product Management, Application Support, IT Management, Security, Information Management).
  • Experience in the analysis of requirements, conceptual design and advising on the scope and options and risks through the definition phases in making project proposals.
  • Knowledge of the applicable legislation, regulations and standards used in the development of IT systems.
  • Experience in Requirements Management (i.e. Customer, derived, etc) and compliance. Understands the difference between functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience in Product Acceptance Testing and Handover is essential within an IT context.
  • Demonstrates creative and innovative thinking in identifying solutions that will deliver value for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder.
  • Knowledge of Product Safety, Environmental and Security in the development and delivery of IT solutions.
  • Experience with Stakeholder/Vendor/Supplier Management and liaison with large and medium sized vendors in support of system and product troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Demonstrates impactful communication skills (oral, written and presentation) in both formal and informal settings, articulating complex ideas to broad audiences.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with others where necessary to solve complex IT problems.
  • Experience in the MS Office is essential.
