As a Helix Administrator at Müller’s Solutions, you will oversee the management and optimization of our Helix environments, ensuring that the development and production systems function seamlessly. This role requires a strong understanding of the Helix platform, managing code repositories, builds, and deployments efficiently. You will work closely with development teams to implement best practices in version control and CI/CD processes, while also providing support to ensure that our systems remain reliable and performant.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Helix Core server environments, managing users, repositories, and permissions.
- Implement and optimize workflows for code branching, merging, and release management within Helix.
- Monitor system performance and conduct health checks to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with development teams on best practices for version control and code integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Helix, providing timely support to end-users.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning for Helix repositories.
- Document processes, configurations, and system changes in line with company policies.
- Stay updated on Helix platform advancements and provide recommendations for enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Helix administrator or in a similar role involving version control systems.
- Strong knowledge of the Helix Core platform and its administrative functions.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, integrating Helix with development pipelines.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical abilities for resolving system issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff across various departments.
- Relevant Helix certifications or training is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate administrative tasks.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and development lifecycles.
- Familiarity with other version control systems such as Git and SVN.
