Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant industry experience is required.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
  • Membership in a Professional Engineering or Project Management Society is desirable.

Overview

The BIM Manager will provide technical expertise, leadership and management to the construction team during the pre-construction planning, development and delivery phases of the project, ultimately ensuring full execution of BIM across the project in accordance with Employers Requirements.


Your role
  • Assume the role of the Contractors Representative for Building Information Modelling (BIM).
  • Supporting development and execution of the BIM Project Management Plan in accordance with the Employers BIM strategy and standards.
  • Ensuring provision of quality model data including Industry Foundations Classes (IFC) and COBie data.
  • Ensuring use of the company BIM Storage Solution throughout all project stages.
  • Responsible for conducting QA/QC of BIM and outputs using specialist tools and internal processes.
  • Responsible for the use of BIM to support on-site construction and planning activities.
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with project wide BIM representatives, design managers and the Employers Team.
  • Responsible for coordinating and attending project team BIM meetings.
  • Monitoring BIM implementation progress and provide updates to the company on a weekly basis.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and advice to the project team with the view to improving efficiency and effectiveness in BIM implementation.
  • Promote a foster a strong team culture with open and transparent communication.
  • Establishing and maintaining regular close contact with the Employer to address any Employer concerns.
  • Provide reports (internal and external) in accordance with Contract requirements.
About you
  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management or
  • relevant industry experience.
  • Member of Professional Engineering or Project / Construction Management Society or other recognized Body is desirable.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English (Mandatory).
