Job description

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus as changes occur.
  • Ensure all mis-en-place for cocktails and drinks are correctly prepared prior to service in all beverage outlets.
  • Make every effort to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of guest’s beverage requests throughout service.
  • Have a good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and drinks) and F&B day to day activities and operational hours.
  • Recommend and promote items as directed by supervisor.
  • Knowledge on menu prices and suggesting upselling when necessary.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
  • Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
  • Attend meetings and training as required.
  • Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.
Qualifications
  • Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality or Barista school and more than one year’s experience in a similar operational role.
  • I have experience in cocktail-making, beverage service and garnishing. I am familiar with Food and beverage terminology, application, operation, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory.
  • Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS/point of sale platforms. I have knowledge of hotel/resort policies on discounts/food promotion etc.
  • Fluent in English
