Job summary

Rixos Murjana is seeking an experienced AV Technician to support setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, trainings, events, and other hotel activities.

The AV Technician will ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and ready to deliver a high-quality experience for guests and clients, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during events as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an AV Technician, preferably in hospitality environments.
• Good knowledge of audio-visual equipment including projectors, displays, cameras, microphones, and videoconferencing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical and AV issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, operate, and maintain AV equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, trainings, and events.
• Test, inspect, repair, replace and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Ensure equipment is safe, functional, and ready before events.
• Provide professional technical support to guests, clients, and event organizers.

Job Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliableAV Technicianto support the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, trainings, events, and other hotel activities.

The AV Technician will ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and ready to deliver a high-quality experience for guests and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment, including projectors, displays, televisions, cameras, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems.
• Set up and operate AV equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, trainings, and events.
• Perform equipment testing, inspections, repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure all AV equipment is functioning properly and safely before events.
• Provide professional and efficient technical support to guests, clients, and event organizers.
• Safely transport, store, and handle AV equipment, cables, and accessories.
• Maintain accurate inventory of AV equipment, cables, and accessories.
• Ensure equipment is properly stored and maintained after each event.
• Respond quickly to technical issues during events and provide effective solutions.
• Coordinate with the Events & Entertainment team to ensure smooth event operations.
• Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the relevant supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe technical work area.
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, OSM standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Attend required technical and skills training.
• Assist with other duties and hotel activities as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience asan AV Technician, preferably in ahotel, resort, eventsvenue, or hospitalityenvironment.
• Good knowledge ofaudio-visual equipment, sound systems, lighting, projectors, displays,microphones, and videoconferencing systems.
• Ability to troubleshootbasic technical andAV issues.
• Good understanding ofcables,connectors, signal flow, and AV setup.
• Strong organizational andinventory management skills.
• Good communication andinterpersonal skills.
• Ability to workeffectively under pressureand meet eventdeadlines.
• Flexible to workevenings, weekends,holidays, and duringevents as required.
• Good command ofEnglish is preferred.
• Relevant technical qualificationor certification isan advantage.
