Job purpose
The Assistant Product Manager follows up the execution plan to maximize sales and profitability. He analyzes market and sales data to assist in strategic decisions and promotional activities. The role involves coordinating with all branches and internal teams to ensure product availability and quality. He also helps follow up the inventory and coordinate the pricing with branches.
Duties and responsibilities
- Follow up on allocation plans and sales projections to support efficient inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels, proper order coordination, and maintenance of product quality across all branches.
- Monitor sales and market data to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement within the sundry fruit category by tracking sales performance and price movements.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with sales heads and internal teams to ensure timely sourcing, smooth distribution, and seamless delivery of sundry fruit products.
- Assist in addressing pricing discrepancies, product positioning issues, and other operational challenges specific to the sundry fruit category.
- Continuously enhance product and category knowledge and share updates and insights with sales heads and branch teams to strengthen overall expertise.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to execute category plans and promotional activities effectively, adapting to seasonal patterns and market dynamics.
- Prepare and present regular reports summarizing performance progress, key insights, and coordination outcomes across branches.
Job Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in produce purchasing or category management, preferably with multi‑unit and multi‑geographic exposure.
- Proven track record in purchasing, pricing, distribution, and financial management related to fresh vegetables and fruits.
- Experience in managing product mix, placement, pricing, promotional strategies, and profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Agriculture, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience in produce, FMCG, or sales operations, with knowledge of supply chain and produce quality standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
