Deputy Manager – Production Planning & Control

The Deputy Manager – Production Planning & Control drives effective coordination between sales, manufacturing, logistics, finance, procurement, and government affairs. They carefully develop strategic production plans and forecasts to satisfy Lucid customers, maximize plant asset utilization and revenue, balance local governmental labor law requirements, and ensure zero downtime and loss of production capacity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the production control team in planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement production control strategies to improve workflow efficiency and inventory accuracy.
  • Manage Master Production Schedule (MPS), capacity planning, and shop floor scheduling in alignment with sales forecasts and inventory targets.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and engineering to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and analyze production performance metrics (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production lead time, and inventory turns; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of ERP/MRP systems and production data.
  • Identify bottlenecks or potential delays and proactively implement corrective actions.
  • Lead cross‑functional meetings to review production status, forecast changes, and operational challenges.
  • Oversee raw material and component inventory levels to support production without overstocking.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes from a planning and control perspective.
  • Meet agreed objectives and deliver best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
  • Monitor and ensure accurate material schedules to get the right materials on site at the right time.
  • Operate in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Manage overall production cost and maximize plant revenue.
  • Maintain deep understanding of end‑to‑end manufacturing, logistics, transportation, warehousing, shipping, sales, and vehicle dealership systems/processes.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication, and project management abilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7‑10 years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • At least 2‑3 years in a supervisory or team lead role within logistics.
  • Experience in managing large teams and complex distribution networks.
  • Strategic thought process, digital transformation mindset, and strong team building and motivation skills.
  • Excellent communicator across all levels, highly data‑driven, and persuasive.
