Overview

Join Qiddiya Investment Company as an Assistant Manager - Platform Operations, a key role in our rapidly evolving organization dedicated to building world‑class entertainment destinations in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will manage the data platform operations, ensuring that they function seamlessly and efficiently to meet the needs of our diverse stakeholders. Your primary focus will be to manage and optimize platform performance while coordinating with IT teams and other departments to enhance user experience and operational effectiveness. You will play a critical role in identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to support Qiddiya's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data pipelines for errors, bottlenecks, or malfunctions, and quickly resolve any issues to minimize interruptions.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration frameworks.
• Manage data platform operations, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering.
• Automate data workflows and processes.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline data operations and reduce manual intervention.
• Implement data integration solutions for various data sources.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data systems and processes.
• Work closely with the Data Governance & Quality division to establish data governance practices within the data platform.
• Implement and enforce data security measures, access controls, and data privacy standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders across the organization for data platform related initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in data platform operations, efficiency, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience platform support or Data Operations, overseeing platform automation and architecture.
• Hands‑on experience in utilizing tools such as Terraform for infrastructure as code, Prometheus for monitoring, and Ansible for automation.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of best practices related to platform security and compliance.
