Black & Grey HR is hiring for a well-established retail group in Saudi Arabia for their supermarket division. Our client is seeking a Saudi National Assistant Category Manager to support end-to-end category operations, assist the Category Manager in strategic planning, and independently handle key tasks to ensure category growth and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in analyzing industry, pricing, and consumer trends to guide category decisions.
  • Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and suppliers.
  • Participate in sourcing new suppliers and evaluating their fit with category strategy.
  • Contribute to preparing annual budgets, sales forecasts, and margin targets.
  • Assist in executing business plans and monitoring category KPIs.
  • Manage pricing updates, SKU performance reviews, and margin optimization tasks.
  • Ensure product availability, timely replenishment, and assortment accuracy.
  • Coordinate with buyers and merchandisers to enhance product range and shelf visibility.
  • Track competitor activities, market pricing, and promotional trends.
  • Handle reports, data analysis, and documentation required for category performance reviews.
  • Independently manage assigned sub-categories or product groups as delegated by the Category Manager.
  • Support vendor negotiations and follow up on agreements, timelines, and service levels.
