The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to join our Grid & Power Quality Solutions and Services team, part of Grid Integration business in Saudi Arabia. In this role you are pivotal in driving the growth of our innovative energy solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers. This position requires good understanding of the energy sector, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving, developing high quality offerings & gaining customer satisfaction.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Selling Hitachi Energy’s portfolio of systems & services to customers, focusing on diversified sales prospects from the assigned segments to achieve required volume, mix, business models and profitability.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, early engagement to promote customer understanding of full systems & services offering and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls. Updated the company tools with regular updates and status.
  • Creating added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi Energy offering and strategy (scope, business model, delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions) in accordance with the required Hitachi Energy approval process and mandates.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. Ensuring that the latest changes to Hitachi Energy portfolio and business models are communicated clearly to customers.
  • Supporting Sales Manager and the Front‑End organization to identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know‑how sharing and cross‑collaboration.
  • Managing administrative procedures in the sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed.
  • Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including target pricing and terms and conditions in accordance with the required Hitachi Energy approval process and mandates.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 5‑8 years of experience in the energy or industry sector is essential.
  • Experience in service sales of grid connections is preferred.
  • Experience with HV Power Electronic solutions is an advantage.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate stakeholders to achieve targets.
  • Capability to analyse sales data and market trends to inform sales actions.
