Location: RIYADH HQ RSAF

Working hours: full time

Responsibilities
  • To maintain satisfactory Service Level Agreements with KSA users.
  • To deputize for the Senior E-Mail Administrator during periods of leave, other absences and where required due to work patterns.
  • To ensure availability of all Unix based Application services (E-Mail, Intranet, Oracle, Service Management Applications) during standard service times.
  • To ensure monitoring and maintenance of all hardware and facilities, liaising with external vendors and support contractors, ensuring timely response to hardware faults and problems.
  • To establish maintenance and development of back-up and archiving procedures, providing quality documentation for all operational procedures.
  • To establish the implementation of system utilization and performance, statistical procedures and charts.
  • To provide technical support to all users within Kingdom, liaising and advising with the UK.
  • To administer the Electronic Mail, Intranet, and Oracle Database Servers including performance, security and change management
  • To maintain and support Directory Services and all messaging functions, Oracle Database Administration (DBA) in relation to Unix Tuning and Performance, plus Intranet related security and access issues.
  • To perform daily administration tasks for the electronic mail system, including performance, security and change management.
  • To provide support for directory services and all messaging functions.
  • To assist in the development of e-mail user training, help guides and documentation.
Job Requirements
  • Preferably educated to HND, HNC or GCE 'A' level with a minimum of 3 years extensive knowledge and experience.
  • Recognised UNIX training to System Administration level, HP Openmail Technologies, Openmail Systems Administration, HP OpenMail Internals Administration, HP OpenView Management, Oracle DBA Netscape Suitespot Administration and Intranet Administrator, and Lotus cc:Mail Systems Administration.
  • Good working knowledge of LAN, WAN and PC Networks.
  • Detailed working knowledge of TCP/IP concepts.
  • Working knowledge of associated Microsoft Windows applications is essential.
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively and be capable of using methods, procedures and available tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with all users at all levels, customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to keep up to date with new strategies and advances in technology, with a view to improving existing practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the BAe business processes and practices in Saudi Arabia.
  • Given the knowledge of Lan/Wan, Desktop S/w and TCP/IP, he could give assistance when needed for the day-to-day first line support.
