Job Description Summary

This 6 months internship with GE Vernova team will offer a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience through challenging projects, learn from some of the brightest and most innovative minds in the business and network with a variety of professionals.

Tamheer program is an on‑the‑job training program for Saudi graduates. Tamheer aims at training Saudi graduate holders at international organizations and outstanding companies in order for them to gain experience and skills to prepare them for full‑time employment. Program duration is 6 months long period of training. We are intended for graduates who have bachelor's degree, and that have not been employed during the last six months.

Job Description
What you’ll do
In this role, the Technical Application Engineer Trainee will be responsible for:
  • Business development of GA Market, products prequalification, competitor, and GA market understanding
  • Actively involved in expanding the company's presence in the Grid Automation (Protection & Control for Substations).
  • Prequalifying products (ensuring they meet specific industry standards or client requirements before they can be sold) and understanding the competitive landscape. You'll need to know what other companies are offering, their strengths, and how your products compare.
  • Technical Support and Customer Engagement: L2 technical support, customer intimacy with clients in Utilities, O&G, handling more complex issues that go beyond the basic troubleshooting provided by a first‑level support team.
  • You'll work directly with clients in the Utilities and Oil & Gas (O&G) sectors to solve their technical problems. The phrase “customer intimacy” suggests you'll be building strong, long‑term relationships with these clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Technical session, marketing in Saudi: presenting technical information to potential or existing clients, likely through workshops, seminars, or one‑on‑one meetings. You'll be the technical face of the company in these sessions.
  • Working on marketing efforts, which could include creating technical content, assisting with product launches, or representing the company at industry events.
  • Will closely coordinate his activities with GE sales, engineering and services: sales and Marketing Collaboration.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Analytical & strong communication skills.
  • Self-driven, attentive to details, outcome oriented, good working attitude.
  • Should not be currently employed.
  • Should not have previously participated in Tamheer.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness and ability to work full‑time for 6 months period.
  • Fluency in English.
