Key Reasonability:

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces by sanding, stripping old paint, and masking areas to ensure precise paint application.
  • Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using spray guns and other painting equipment.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality and adherence to specifications, making necessary touch-ups.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Aircraft Painter or in a similar role within the aerospace industry.
  • Relevant certifications such as FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent aviation painting certification.
  • OSHA safety certification and knowledge of hazardous material handling (e.g., OSHA HAZWOPER).
  • Proficient in using spray guns, paint booths, and surface preparation tools.
  • Strong understanding of aviation paint systems, materials, and industry standards (e.g., MIL-PRF-85285, MIL-PRF-23377).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and ability to work in confined space.
