Job description

Overview

The Aircraft Engine Technician will be responsible to ensure optimal service support for maintenance to achieve excellent fleet availability with highest quality and safety standards. The Aircraft Engine Technician will also be responsible to perform detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair or replacement of the aircraft engines (engine, blades, dynamic component) and maintenance (both scheduled and unscheduled). The Aircraft Engine Technician will perform on-the-job training on location as required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Aviation, Safety, Quality and Export Control Regulations and Procedures
• Comply with all Airbus Helicopters Management Systems, Policies and Regulations
• Work as part of a team; specific duties will include the satisfactory performance of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the helicopter fleet, within a customer environment
• Undertake individually or as part of a team, aircraft maintenance, repair and inspection tasks, quality checks and the completion of documentation in accordance with Company and Customer procedures
• Check every time before starting any maintenance activity that tools/GSEs are in good condition and within expiration date, and ensure their correct use
• Check every time before starting any maintenance activity the components and parts for conditions (damages, leaks, etc.) and that the applicability of the documentation is correct
• Determine and perform maintenance requirements for parts, clearances, tolerances, fuel and hydraulic leaks and corrosion damage
• Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and technical publications
• Determine repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment
• Solve maintenance problems and achieve proper operating deficiency of components such as rotor heads, engine and engine modules
• Diagnose recurring malfunctions and recommend corrective action by initiation of material deficiency reports
• Perform repair of components (engine, blades, dynamic component)
• Ensure that all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis
• Ensure the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials
• Perform duties as assigned by the Site Manager, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery quality requirements of Airbus
• Evaluate performance of assigned customer’s personnel
• Conduct on-the-job training activity
• Train personnel on the use of maintenance manuals
• Train personnel in all safety directives and FOD procedures
