Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to lead the development and integration of AI systems, manage enterprise data platforms, ensure regulatory‑compliant data governance, and drive innovation across clinical and administrative departments. The specialist will support digital transformation initiatives that enhance patient experiences, optimize resources, and strengthen data‑driven decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI Solutions for Clinical & Business Applications
- Develop and deploy AI/ML models to support diagnostics, predictive care, and clinical decision‑making.
- Build business intelligence models for cost optimization and enhanced patient experience.
- Integrate AI solutions into HIS/EMR, imaging, and administrative systems.
- Validate accuracy, reliability, and clinical safety of AI outputs with relevant teams
2. Data Management, Governance & Compliance
- Establish and maintain structured/unstructured data pipelines.
- Standardize data formats (HL7, FHIR, DICOM) and ensure consistent data quality.
- Implement data governance frameworks and maintain full compliance with MOH, CBAHI, HIPAA, and NCA cybersecurity standards.
- Support secure data sharing for internal dashboards and regulatory reporting.
3. IT Platform Reliability & Integration
- Design and maintain robust cloud/on‑premise AI and data platforms.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and adherence to disaster recovery protocols.
- Integrate AI/data platforms with HIS, EMR, PACS, and other clinical systems.
- Monitor system performance and execute platform improvements.
4. Security, Confidentiality & Data Protection
- Implement multi‑layered security controls, encryption, and access management.
- Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
- Enforce strict confidentiality, especially for high‑risk and sensitive data.
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
5. Innovation, Research & Stakeholder Engagement
- Evaluate emerging AI and digital health technologies and lead innovation pilots.
- Develop technology roadmaps for continuous improvement.
- Conduct trainings and knowledge‑sharing with clinical, admin, and leadership teams.
- Serve as a key liaison between ICT, internal departments, vendors, and regulators.
Requirements
Essential Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of experience in AI, data management, or advanced analytics.
- Strong experience in highly regulated industries.
Desired Experience
- 3+ years in healthcare, clinical informatics, or medical technology environments.
Education
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related fields.
- Desired: Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, or AI.
