Role Purpose
To support the Category Manager in leading development and implementation of category strategies, contract / procurement solutions and analytical systems / infrastructure; ensuring that NEOM maintains optimal processes when interacting with our supply markets.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Multi-Category Strategy Development and Implementation
- Conduct historical analyses on business practices and stakeholder behavior to effectively derive and prioritize business requirements when interacting with supplier markets
- Deliver category strategies covering all bases of category management including contract, risk, spend, and performance
- Develop and present professional presentation material, planning and governance documentation suitable for NEOM senior management as well as operational staff
Data Analytics
- Lead all analytical practices required for driving empirically validated category strategies; this must include knowledge and use of various analytical platforms and data sources (e.g., ERP, supplier data, MS Excel and Power BI applications)
- Coordinate with wider NEOM analytical practitioners / teams (e.g., Procurement Excellence & SRM) to continually optimize the NEOM Procurement analytical capabilities
Stakeholder Management
- Lead a team of analysts and / or document controllers to efficiently derive required information required for effective development of category strategies
- Consult both internal NEOM stakeholders and suppliers regarding strategic initiatives and interaction with category solutions
- Independently support Category Lead(s) in critical tasks relevant to the overall development and ongoing management of the category procurement operations
Background, Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years business management consultancy or 5 years of other related employment
- Advanced knowledge of procurement solutions (e.g., framework agreements, governance and pricing structures)
- Advanced knowledge of, and ability to, implement appropriate analytical practices and platforms in a Procurement context (i.e., spend / business data sources, extraction and analysis)
managing a (small) team of analysts and / or other support staff to independently drive solutions with minimal direction
Qualifications
- Minimum a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, engineering or a related area, with a Master's degree preferred
