WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

BASF aims to enable digitalization for production by designing and supporting a comprehensive security architecture. This involves identifying vulnerabilities, explaining security requirements, and enabling product owners to protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats.

  • Develop skills across various domains and roles in long-term engagements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply and uphold cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Provide expert advice and collaborate closely with product owners.
  • Stay updated on global technological, regulatory, and ethical trends.
  • Monitor threat landscapes, incidents, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Maintain strong connections within expert networks.
  • Understand processes and requirements of our Information Security Management System (ISMS) including Governance, Risk management, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Enhance cybersecurity methods using AI technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with ISA99 / IEC 62443 and ISO 27001 / 27002 standards.
  • Patience, diligence, and self-management skills.
  • Awareness of global technological and regulatory trends.
  • Active engagement with expert networks.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Fluency in English, German, and Spanish.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar environments.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, digitalization in manufacturing, and risk management domains.
  • Knowledge of AI applications in cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with upcoming regulations like NIS2 and Cyber Resilience Act.
