Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Data

About the role :

We are looking for a dedicated engineer to focus on our infrastructure and uptime. You will collaborate closely with our existing platform engineer, front-end, back-end, and operations team. Experience in scaling databases like Clickhouse and performance engineering is required.

What you will do :

• Manage our cloud infrastructure, build and improve our data infrastructure globally, manage capacity, and stay on top of performance.
• Have a special focus on ensuring our databases run smoothly and securely.
• Build our infrastructure to be ultra-reliable and failure-resistant.
• Ensure our architecture meets and exceeds industry compliance standards.
• Be in charge of building out our Kubernetes clusters around the world.
• Write GitHub actions for CI, ArgoCD for Kubernetes, and Opentofu for cloud resources.
• Build and maintain our observability solution, ensuring alerts are kept relevant and up to date.
• Manage AWS (and similar cloud provider) security.

About you :

• Strong proficiency working with databases, optimizing overall performance and queries.
• Strong proficiency and deep understanding of secure implementations on cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience configuring Linux nodes for optimal performance at scale.
• Familiarity with services like AWS CDK, EKS, ASG, and more.
• A passion for Kubernetes and knowledge on how to make things scale.
• Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) and writing code.
• Ability to optimize costs while maximizing modern infrastructure capabilities.
• Over 4 years of experience owning, managing, and securing distributed systems on cloud providers.
• High energy and eagerness to work in a dynamic startup environment, committed to building world-changing technology.
• Bonus : Interest in playing around with AI models.
