Description of function

The Cyber Security Engineer is a hands-on security professional providing technical leadership in OmniAccess security solutions and services. You will lead, design, and deploy security solutions for our customers and play a key role in evolving our SOC.

Responsibilities

  1. Security Solution Deployment: Lead planning, implementation, and configuration of security solutions to enhance defenses. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
  2. SOAR/SIEM Implementation: Deploy and customize SOAR/SIEM/security platforms, develop playbooks, workflows, and automation scripts.
  3. Security Project Management: Manage end-to-end security projects, including scope, resources, and tracking, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  4. Security Solution Integration: Integrate various security tools with platforms to create a unified security ecosystem, collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
  5. Travel needs: Up to 10%.
  6. Availability: Willingness to participate in on-call duties.

Minimum Requirements

Desired knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience leading security projects, especially in SOC operations, security deployment, and SOAR/SIEM implementations.
  • Strong understanding of SOAR/SIEM concepts, tools, and platforms.
  • Familiarity with various security technologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of incident response frameworks like NIST, MITRE.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Additional qualifications

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
  • Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards like GDPR, ISO 27000.
