Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Platform Infrastructure team (100% Remote - Spain)

Join Hopper as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) within our Platform Infrastructure team. This role is fully remote and based in Spain.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help us build and maintain the cloud foundation that powers products used by millions of travelers worldwide. Your focus will be on automating, scaling, and ensuring the reliability of our infrastructure in Google Cloud, supporting multiple product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and develop platform tooling to support Hopper’s growing services and teams.
• Design infrastructure workflows that are simple, scalable, and reliable.
• Drive automation efforts to improve system reliability and reduce manual work.
• Support and troubleshoot platform issues, participating in incident response and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with a small team of SREs to optimize operational excellence and developer experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering, with a passion for reliable infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with cloud-native environments, especially Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, containers, Kubernetes, and service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, observability tools, and scripting languages like Bash or Python.
