• Contract : Temporary, linked to research project funding

Position Title : Laboratory Technician

Research Area : Biological Sciences

Professional Category : Group III, Technical Specialist (High School Diploma, Vocational Training Level II or equivalent)

Qualifications : Senior clinical and biomedical laboratory technician; relevant training or experience in plant cell culture and in vitro culture are also considered.

Salary : €22,044.54 gross annually

Project Title : Sequence identification of control genes to enhance cell growth rate in plant tissues

Expected Employment Start : 01 / 07 / 2025

Key Tasks :

• Cell cultures and plate cultures
• Cell phenotyping, roots and biomass analysis
• PCRs and optical microscopy

Requirements :

• Specific training (20%) in molecular biology, cell cultures, laboratory management
• Professional experience (20%) in in vitro plant culture, cell cultures in flasks and bioreactors
• Personal interview (15%) demonstrating knowledge in sterile procedures, molecular biology techniques like PCR, qPCR, DNA / RNA extraction
