As our PR & Communications Manager, you will ensure the optimal positioning of the Village in local and international media, focusing on communicating the right image and message to the general consumer market, the press community, and internally to staff and partners.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a passion for luxury retail, and is customer-focused with the ability to influence change.

About the role

  • Work with Group Marketing Services to test new internal communication tools/channels (Salesforce & Chatter) to share internal news and information across all Villages and central teams.
  • Responsible for copywriting audit and streamlining all copy across the Villages, working closely with GMS, COS, and Digital to develop a communication strategy.
  • Develop a common language, voice, and branding through internal communication to create a VR lexicon or style guide.
  • Coordinate and prepare content for quarterly Town Hall Meetings.
  • Participate in the Partners in Health – Sustainability steering group.
  • As part of the corporate communications team, develop and create structured systems and templates for the corporate and internal communications teams.

External

  • Contribute to setting corporate PR objectives for the Villages based on priority.
  • Liaise closely with and act as a conduit between Village, COS, and GMS/corporate PR teams.
  • Identify story ideas and angles for Value Retail (e.g., new brand campaigns, Chic Talents, the differentiated customer, international tourists, unique business and retail models, etc.).
  • Collect and archive a library of corporate Village photography materials.
  • Develop VR Press File/Corporate Brochure.
  • Regularly audit the VR.com site.

Role requirements

  • Degree in Journalism, Digital Marketing, or similar.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to create innovative and effective working methods.
  • Build effective working partnerships with Group functions and Village teams.
  • Foster close networks and relationships with agencies, media, and press contacts.
