Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Application Support Engineer with DevOps experience to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 24 / 7 on-call group to ensure high platform availability.
  • Manage security and lifecycle of application hosting platforms, including upgrades and patches.
  • Implement instrumentation to monitor capacity, stability, and facilitate exception detection.
  • Gather and reflect platform requirements in end-to-end solutions.
  • Implement standard and complex changes on platform components.

Technical Skills

Must-have

  • Proven experience in production support, incident management, and escalation handling.
  • Experience analyzing logs, performance issues, APIs, and integration problems.
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and collaboration with developers and DevOps teams.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of EKS / Kubernetes, Helm, and containerization best practices.
  • Experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, RHEL).
  • Understanding of networking components such as VPCs, subnets, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancers.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / EFK.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages like Bash or Python.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Temporal.io or similar workflow orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of Swift (ISO 20022 / MT), SEPA, or payments infrastructure.
  • Understanding of SRE principles (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets).
  • Experience with message queues and middleware (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, IBM MQ).
  • Basic knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, especially GitLab CI.
