Senior Accountant

The Role :

The Senior Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information from transaction to financial close and external reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually). This role supports all accounting processes, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and compliant with local and consolidated GAAP / IFRS standards.

The Senior Accountant will report to the CFO, supervise staff work, and oversee the implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

Responsibilities :

• Process, review, and approve monthly journal entries.
• Coordinate daily activities of the Finance department (AP & AR).
• Prepare monthly financial reports to meet group deadlines.
• Handle tax submissions and government surveys.
• Manage cash flow.
• Oversee payment processes (AP & AR).
• Complete month-end accounting, including reconciliations, and prepare B/S and P/L statements.
• Ensure data integrity and the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information.
• Maintain effective controls in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other policies.
• Assist with financial and tax audits.
• Lead complex accounting projects and collaborate with other departments and leadership.
• Train and mentor junior staff.

Requirements :

• At least 5 years of general accounting experience in a complex global environment.
• Qualified Accountant with a minimum of five years in a finance role, preferably in a Big 4 firm.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism in handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and numerical analysis.
• ERP experience, preferably with Odoo.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
