Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Head of Application Development will oversee the design, development, and implementation of modern applications that meet our clients' evolving needs. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of financial services.
- Lead the application development team in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using modern technologies, including APIs, AI, and cloud solutions.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- Foster a client-centric culture within the team, designing applications with the end-user in mind.
- Collaborate with product management and UX/UI teams to gather feedback and improve application features.
- Manage and mentor a global team of developers and engineers, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Implement training programs to enhance team skills.
- Interface with executive stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals and communicate progress.
- Lead architectural decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance of applications.
- Drive innovation by leveraging AI and cloud technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve development processes.
- Establish quality assurance processes to meet standards of performance, security, and reliability.
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
Profile
- At least 10+ years in application development, with 5+ years in leadership within financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related; Master’s preferred.
- Strong expertise in API development, AI, and cloud tech (AWS, Azure).
- Experience leading global teams and managing projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
