The energy transition brings new, exciting challenges every day, and requires new solutions in the varied sales routine. The focus is on our customers, with whom we communicate daily: new projects are discussed, offers are drawn up, and negotiations are conducted on the phone or on site.
The selected candidate will be responsible for their own customers, while close cooperation with the sales team, factories, and the Grid technology environment will be crucial to ensure the team's success.
The main objective of this position is to grow the opportunity pipeline and orders in new and existing markets for substations, FACTs, and all the different solutions that Siemens Energy offers to support our customers in the energy transition.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Take ownership of the whole tender process for project opportunities from Lead Management through to Project Handover, coordinating with involved parties to provide technically accurate and commercially compliant proposals.
- Define Bid/Win Strategy and develop technical solutions to meet customer needs.
- Responsible for project bid clarification and negotiation with customers.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with key customers.
- Ensure that the Sales and Tendering processes are implemented in line with Siemens Energy's processes in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Work together with relevant stakeholders: Customers, Suppliers, Managers, and Colleagues, ensuring effective communication both written and verbal.
- Coordinate with engineering, factories, service groups, and sales groups to resolve configuration, scope, and technical changes during the quoting process.
What You Bring
- A degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- More than 5 years of experience in HV substations or FACTS solutions, with an understanding of customer business drivers and process requirements. Project management experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to have regular customer visits.
- Good communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Disciplined in planning, organizing, and structuring resources, as well as possessing good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in an accurate and structured way.
- High skills for collaborative work among diverse teams and different countries.
- Capability to be self-supporting and quickly learn new concepts.
- EHS Knowledge and a quality approach.
