What are we looking for?

We are seeking a DevOps / Cloud Engineer to be part of our team working with a highly digitalized top bank customer in the US & UK markets.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  1. Working as part of a cross-functional team of engineers applying Site Reliability Engineering principles to in-house developed front-end applications.
  2. Maintaining oversight of managed systems and continuously improving their availability and fault tolerance.
  3. Enhancing reliability, monitoring, and observability of services deployed within AWS in a complex, distributed environment.
  4. Identifying opportunities to reduce operational overheads through observability and automation.
  5. Defining, implementing, and meeting well-defined service level objectives.
  6. Participating in system design, platform management, and service reviews.
  7. Willingness to be part of a 24/7 on-call rota (additional compensation provided).

What UST expects from you:

  • Over 5 years of experience as a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience in cloud architecture and adoption patterns, preferably with AWS, but experience with Azure, GCP, or other providers is also valuable.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines, especially with Jenkins.
  • Proficiency with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of distributed backend systems with proven performance, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as NewRelic, Grafana, AppDynamics, Logz.io.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Jira.
  • Good command of English (C1 level) for working with international teams.

Work location:

100% remote within Spain.

Work schedule:

Business hours, with no intensive work on Fridays or during summer.
