The Technical Safety Lead with naval application experience executes and coordinates technical safety engineering activities for FPSO and FNLG projects across all phases, from Feasibility Studies to Front-End and Detail Engineering design.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and discuss risks analysis activities (QRA, FERA, etc.), safety studies, and safety-related activities (fire fighting, hazardous area classification, passive fire and cryogenic spill protection, Fire & Gas, etc.).
- Coordinate process hazard and risk management activities such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL / LOPA, etc.
- Manage activities related to Functional Safety Lifecycle, Technical Integrity, Human Factors Engineering, etc.
- Interface with clients on technical issues.
- Coordinate with other technical disciplines and project management on scheduling and budgeting.
- Manage engineering subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare technical safety reports and deliverables.
- Contribute to a highly skilled multidisciplinary team with specific expertise.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of internal methodologies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in technical disciplines.
Language Skills:
Professional level in English.
Labour Relationship:
Permanent contract.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years proven experience in Technical Safety activities, especially in naval applications/projects such as FPSO and FLNG.
- Confidence in interfacing with clients and project stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of safety studies and risk management, e.g., QRA, FERA, BRA, Marine Risk Assessment, Dropped Objects Risk Assessment, Safety Case, etc.
Soft Skills:
- Good communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong collaboration skills, including proficiency with IT/digital tools.
- Ability to manage a project team with varying seniority levels.
- Ability to lead workshops and review meetings.
- Experience managing multicenter Technical Safety Project Teams.
IT Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and Office365 suite.
Location:
Milano (MI). Willingness to undertake long-term and short-term business trips or contracts.
