Offer Description

Call for a Project Manager contract, by competitive concurrence, with full-time dedication,
under the framework of article 23 bis of the Science, Technology and Innovation Law, for the
management of the research project entitled “GRACE - bridGing gaps in caRdiAC health
managEment,” funded by European funds from the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI JU) under
grant agreement no. 101194778. The IHI JU is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe
research and innovation programme and the sector associations COCIR, EFPIA, Europa Bio, MedTech Europe, and Vaccines Europe.

Tasks to be performed:


The person to be hired will perform the following generic functions:

  • Ensure compliance with requirements and procedures.
  • Supervise progress and achievement of key performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the drafting of the research protocol for the execution of the proposed use case.
  • Manage the planning and implementation of the different stages of the project.

Additionally, they will perform the following specific functions within the project framework:

  • Literature reviews.
  • Review of clinical histories and data collection.
  • Preparation and completion of databases.
  • Participation in project meetings (in-person and online) and workshops.
  • Manage approval by the Ethics Committee of the required documents.
  • Preparation of scientific manuscripts and project deliverables.
  • Analysis of transmissions and alerts due to patients’ rhythm alterations.
  • Checking and liaison with Medtronic’s Get Ready platform.
  • Contact patients to manage questions, visits, and complementary tests.
  • Liaison with the Hospital’s Communication area and the Media.
  • Active participation in the different Work Packages in which we are involved.
  • Budget justification.
  • Preparation of the Project Book.

Management of logistics for the various events related to the project.

Applicant requirements: Those who meet the following requirements may apply:

  • Degree in Genetics, Biotechnology, or related fields.
  • PhD in Biomedicine, Biology, or related fields.

English level C1 or higher (certified or self-declared, with later verification during the interview).

The following will be positively valued:

  • Experience in participation and management of international research projects.
  • Previous participation in scientific outreach activities.
  • Courses related to the tasks to be performed.
  • Experience publishing scientific articles in high-impact JCR journals.
  • Knowledge of other European languages.

Flexibility in working hours and availability to travel.

In any case, applicants must hold Spanish nationality or be nationals of a member country of the European Union, or foreign residents in Spain at the time of applying for the contract.

  • Nature of the contract: The selected candidate will be linked under a scientific-technical activities contract,
    for the management of the GRACE project, within the framework of article 23 bis of the Science Law,
    with full-time dedication, with the Foundation for Biosanitary Research of Eastern Andalusia - Alejandro Otero.
    The contract duration will depend on the available funding, initially foreseen for 24 months.
  • Purpose of the contract: Management of the European GRACE project
  • Contract amount: The selected candidate will receive a gross monthly salary of 2,142.85 euros, plus the proportional part of two extra payments. The contract will be effective from its signing by both parties.

Selection process:

  • Phase I: CV evaluation. Applications will be scored according to the evaluation criteria established in this offer.
  • Phase II: Personal interview: Candidates with the highest scores from the CV evaluation will proceed to the personal interview phase.

IMPORTANT: It is necessary to adapt the CV to the requirements of the offer for merit evaluation, as anything not included cannot be assessed.
The CV must be signed by the candidate and all information contained must be truthful, since candidates who proceed to Phase II will be asked to send the documentation included in the CV within 48 hours.

  • Training related to the job functions: Maximum 30 points
  • Experience related to the tasks to be performed: management of international projects, experience in scientific outreach activities, experience publishing scientific articles in high-impact JCR journals, Maximum 40 points
  • Personal interview: Communication skills, adaptability to the sought profile, aptitudes, and other issues not specified in the CV will be assessed. Maximum 30 points.
