About the job

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical support on vision and automation systems for our clients. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing systems and control panels related to serialization and packaging projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of German or French is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience in automation.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60% within Europe.
  • Ability to interpret P&ID drawings, network diagrams, panel layouts, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explore and collaborate on alternative solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, for technical reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in configuring automation equipment such as PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, robotic systems, and SCADA systems under senior engineers' guidance.
  • Set up and optimize equipment performance, including supporting FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ activities from an automation perspective.
  • Install new or modified packaging equipment at customer facilities, ensuring full functionality according to specifications, including electrical testing and vision system setup.
