Descripción del empleo

You might have heard about us, but under a different name: Doctoralia. It all started 10 years ago when we asked ourselves: is anyone in healthcare thinking about patients? We jumped in and empowered patients by giving them access to leave and read reviews about their visits. We then provided doctors with technology to manage bookings easily and save time, so they could focus on what they always wanted: treating patients. Today, we invite you to join us in making the healthcare experience more human.

Docplanner at scale

We are leaders in 13 countries, trusted by over 50 million patients monthly. 300,000 specialists and 2 million bookings per month rely on us and our product. Leading venture capital funds such as Point Nine Capital, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and One Peak Partners back us. Employing over 2,500 people worldwide, we maintain a startup mindset after 10 years.

How does Docplanner Tech fit here?

At Docplanner Tech, a diverse group of over 400 people in Engineering, Data, and Product teams, we build products for all locations. Many of us have been here for over 5 years, and we welcome new team members with enthusiasm.

We could tell you about us, but our reviews on Glassdoor speak for themselves. If you want to see what it’s like to be 100% yourself at work, here’s a video of us.

Why should you join us?

Because it feels good to tell your family and friends how you made the world a little better. You go to bed knowing your work matters and aligns with your beliefs.

We aim to make healthcare more human, starting with you being yourself. We believe that embracing human diversity improves healthcare for all. We’re not just different; we embrace diversity. We encourage you to come to work as your whole self, and if you prefer not to come to the office, we are 100% remote friendly.

Job Description

About the team:

The New Ventures area leads innovation, developing new ventures and solutions that generate revenue. Currently, a key focus is establishing a cohesive noa.ai ecosystem.

One flagship initiative is Noa Notes — an AI-powered solution that automates clinical note creation during patient consultations by listening and extracting key medical information, generating structured notes. This allows healthcare professionals to focus on patient care, saving time and improving workflow.

Role

We seek a strategic leader as Engineering Manager for the New Ventures / Noa Medic area. You will report to the Engineering Director, managing multiple teams and initiatives, focusing on building high-performing teams for greenfield projects, supporting organizational processes, and fostering team development.

In the first six months, your focus will be on handing over the Noa Notes project, developing strategies for transitioning it to teams, and enabling rapid development of Noa Skills. The role requires a product mindset, agility, alignment with business metrics, and a co-founder approach — we seek a partner, not just an employee.

Managing the team

  • Lead a team of 8 senior software engineers.
  • Facilitate technical decisions aligned with requirements.
  • Work with technical and product leaders to develop strategies.
  • Ensure effective communication within and across teams.

Managing the project

  • Define project scope and objectives with stakeholders.
  • Act as hands-on project manager and leader.
  • Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
  • Assess risks and manage trade-offs.
  • Support go-to-market strategies.

Organization of the area

  • Develop platform and infrastructure strategies.
  • Coordinate with Data Scientists and ML/Ops teams.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships.

Develop people

  • Mentor, coach, and guide team members.
  • Provide feedback and support career development.
  • Assess and support performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

What will help you thrive?

  • Strong ownership and product passion.
  • Understanding of product and business metrics.
  • Leadership experience in R&D, AI, or related fields (nice to have).
  • Proven startup and pioneering experience.
  • Team-building and mentorship skills.
  • Technical expertise and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Autonomous and proactive approach.
  • Experience leading multiple teams (nice to have).
  • Growth mindset for working in unknown areas.

Additional Information

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary based on experience, transparent and with a clear career ladder.
  • Flexible benefits via Flexoh: restaurant, transport, kindergarten, training savings.
  • Share options after 6 months.

Work-life balance:

  • Remote or hybrid in Barcelona.
  • Flexible hours, summer schedule in July-August.
  • 23 paid holidays, additional on birthdays or anniversaries.

Health:

  • Private healthcare with Adeslas for you and family.
  • Gym access through Wellhub.
  • Mental wellness platform access.
