Delivery Manager
The Delivery Manager is a key business and technical leader responsible for managing delivery, governance, and people for a solution developed by several agile teams. The ultimate goal of the Delivery Manager is to align business needs with the IT development and operation processes of large-scale IT solutions.
The Delivery Manager has end-to-end responsibility for the complete lifecycle of the product delivery, playing a key role in helping the teams deliver value. Responsible for development process planning, conducting management reviews, and problem-solving. Active and continuous involvement throughout the development lifecycle by the Delivery Manager can be a determining factor in the success of the teams.
Responsibilities
- Guide the teams to achieve appropriate outcomes as IT Delivery Lead.
- Optimize development lifecycle processes based on delivery metrics.
- Contribute to backlog refinement activities to align business and IT needs.
- Ensure business objectives are understood and agreed upon by key stakeholders.
- Prepare development status reports for portfolio review, including milestones and external dependencies.
- Manage a team of more than 30 FTE.
- Handle budget responsibilities.
Achievements
- Over 3 years of management experience in IT environments leading large teams (>20 FTE).
- More than 2 years of experience in cloud, IT solutions, or business transformation.
- Over 3 years of experience in agile environments; Full SAFe certification is an advantage.
- Experience in transforming delivery units.
- Strong management skills including budgets, KPIs, and soft skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Agile mindset with a focus on caring performance.
- Medium-level general IT overview.
- Advanced software development skills.
- Experience working in international, multicultural environments.
- English proficiency at least at B2 level; German language skills are an advantage.
