A disruptive US backup and security vendor who are pre-IPO are looking for a dynamic hands-on Email Marketing Team Leader to improve marketing automation and email strategy.

You will lead a team responsible for end-to-end email strategy, lead nurturing, and scalable automation—with a focus on performance, innovation, and global expansion.

This is a player-coach role : you’ll both define the strategy and roll up your sleeves to execute campaigns, troubleshoot automation, and mentor the team in real-world scenarios. We are currently migrating from Pardot to Marketo. We’re looking for someone who is not only hands-on in Marketo but also confident leading MAP-related strategic projects and collaborating across teams during major transitions.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership & Team Management :

  • Develop and execute a data-driven email and automation strategy aligned with pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of email experts.
  • Establish clear ownership of email analytics, lead scoring, and database segmentation.

Marketing Automation & Campaign Execution :

  • Design and implement email nurture flows, drip campaigns, and lifecycle marketing programs.
  • Ensure flawless execution of multi-language campaigns for global markets.
  • Build and refine Revenue Grid Sequences for sales-led email automation.
  • Administer and optimize Marketo (or similar enterprise MAP) for scalable automation. Experience with Marketo is strongly preferred, especially in the context of platform migration, multi-language nurture flows, and Salesforce integration.
  • Manage end-to-end webinar automation (GoToWebinar / Zoom integrations).
  • Continuously test and improve campaigns (A / B testing, deliverability, etc.).

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years in email marketing and marketing automation, with 2+ years leading a team.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Marketo (preferred) or other comparable MAPs, along with Salesforce, Revenue Grid, GoToWebinar / Zoom, and Zapier.
  • Experience leading or contributing to an MA platform migration is a strong plus.
  • Proven expertise in lead scoring, nurture flows, database segmentation, and webinar automation.
  • Strong analytical skills—able to translate data into optimization strategies.
  • Experience supporting global expansion.
