Responsibilities:
- Ensure the medical team effectively processes medical assistance cases according to established international procedures.
- Lead the medical team, fostering collaboration, monitoring productivity, and participating in defining team size requirements.
- Ensure 24/7 medical coverage, including on-call doctors.
- Validate internal escorts (for patient repatriation) and necessary medical equipment.
Patient Care and Quality Assurance
- Ensure patients are evaluated and receive high-standard medical care, comparable to advanced healthcare systems.
- Monitor service quality of medical team members, identifying training needs or requiring senior intervention.
- Act as medical lead during daily case review meetings when on duty.
- Support team members through case reviews and relevant consultations.
Case Management
- Manage complex medical assistance cases actively.
- Advise on appropriate repatriation plans when applicable.
- Ensure patients, relatives, and companions receive reassurance and medical advice, maintaining direct contact when necessary.
Communication and Coordination
- Support operational teams via effective communication with coordinators and agents.
- Maintain accurate medical records in the company system.
- Facilitate communication between medical and operational teams to promote teamwork.
Governance and Improvement
- Provide guidance on clinical governance and continuous service improvements.
- Participate in escalation processes for sensitive cases.
- Engage in the Crisis Cell activation when required.
Strategic Support and Development
- Support AXA Partners' strategy, especially digitalization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Assist in developing and implementing new medical services, including tele-consultation and emergency products.
- Support the Medical Network Department.
Cultural Alignment
- Demonstrate understanding of and alignment with AXA's culture and values.
Your Profile
- Minimum 10 years of clinical experience.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English (C1 level); French is a plus.
- At least 5 years in critical care settings such as ICU, A&E, or Internal Medicine.
- Current clinical practice currency.
- Self-motivated with high customer focus.
- Professional registration with relevant medical body.
- Knowledge of medical transport indications, especially aeromedical.
- Minimum 3 years in worldwide medical assistance.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and team management experience.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Adaptability and ability to work under pressure.
- Commitment to high standards and willingness to undertake new challenges across functions.
- Ability to act as a change agent and influencer to meet business targets.
