We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP) Specialist to join our team and support a major banking client. In this fully remote role (within Spain), you will leverage your expertise in Marketing Cloud Personalization to design and execute sophisticated, data-driven marketing campaigns. Important : This position is not focused on website sitemap development ; instead, it centers on server-side campaign configuration, mobile personalization, and API-based integrations to deliver real-time personalized customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage server-side personalization campaigns : Design and deploy server-side Marketing Cloud Personalization campaigns (at the server-to-server level) to deliver tailored content and experiences. (Note : This role does not involve front-end sitemap configuration, but rather backend campaign logic and integration.)
  • Leverage mobile campaign data : Work with mobile user data and campaign analytics to inform personalization strategies. Monitor and analyze in-app user behavior and campaign performance metrics to optimize mobile marketing efforts and improve engagement.
  • Implement and configure the Mobile SDK : Collaborate with mobile developers to integrate the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization Mobile SDK for iOS / Android apps. Ensure the SDK is properly configured to capture in-app user interactions and deliver personalized in-app messages or push notifications as part of mobile campaigns.
  • Utilize the Event API : Leverage the Marketing Cloud Personalization Event API to ingest real-time events (e.g. user actions, transactions) from various sources. Configure event tracking and ensure that incoming events trigger the correct personalized content or campaign actions across channels.
  • Cross-team collaboration : Work closely with marketing strategists, developers, and analytics teams to gather requirements and translate business goals into Personalization campaign designs. Provide technical guidance on best practices and coordinate troubleshooting for campaign execution issues.
  • Campaign optimization : Continuously test, monitor, and refine personalization campaigns. Use A / B testing and data insights to improve campaign effectiveness and ensure a relevant, high-quality customer experience in the banking domain.

Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP, formerly Interaction Studio), including building and launching personalization campaigns.
  • Technical Skills : Strong understanding of Marketing Cloud Personalization features – especially server-side campaigns, mobile integrations (Mobile SDK), and working with Personalization APIs (Event API). Comfortable working with data feeds and JSON for configuring personalized content when needed.
  • Language : Fluent in English (excellent written and verbal communication skills). Able to work effectively in an English-speaking environment and clearly communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
  • Location : Must reside in Spain and be authorized to work there. (Role is remote within Spain, with possible occasional in-person meetings as required.)
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certifications : Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization Accredited Professional certification, or other Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g. Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Administrator / Email Specialist) are highly desirable.
  • Communication & Tools : Experience using collaboration and communication tools (e.g. Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Zoom, Trello) to liaise with remote teams and stakeholders. Proven ability to gather requirements and report progress in a virtual team environment.
  • Domain Experience : Prior experience working on marketing projects in the banking or financial services sector is a plus. Familiarity with regulated industries and data privacy best practices (e.g. GDPR) in a marketing context will be advantageous.
