YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Global Legal Team, you will coordinate legal support for Systra Ibérica's activities in Spain and other countries where it operates. Your responsibilities include :
- Providing legal advice and analysis on contractual issues related to project procurement.
- Drafting and advising on contracts and agreements for worldwide projects.
- Acting as a key contact for negotiations and contract management with internal and external parties.
- Engaging with clients, partners, subcontractors, and legal advisors on a daily basis.
- Understanding current projects and upcoming tenders.
- Providing legal risk assessments and mitigation strategies to internal stakeholders.
- Training management on compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
- Coordinating with insurance brokers and external legal counsel.
- Managing dispute cases and legal notices.
- Collaborating with corporate governance teams to ensure compliance with group policies and procedures.
- Participating in the Systra Group legal network.
Educational Background
- Admitted as a solicitor in Spain is advantageous.
- Law Degree (LLM or PhD).
Language Skills
- Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- French and Portuguese skills are a plus but not mandatory.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of Spanish public procurement, engineering, and construction contracts is essential.
- Proven negotiation and drafting skills.
- Experience working in an international environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- In-house experience preferred, ideally after law firm practice.
- Experience in construction, transport, or engineering sectors is required; oil & gas, energy, and water sectors are a plus.
