EMEA Regional Field Compliance Officer (Madrid based)

EMEA Regional Field Compliance Officer

The Ethics & Compliance organization enables our people, businesses, and partners to act ethically, stay in compliance with policies and laws, and uphold our RISE values. What you will be doing :

  • Serve as the primary contact between CBRE's business leaders in the EMEA region and the Global Ethics & Compliance Team.
  • Manage Field Compliance Officers across the EMEA region, including the UK, Western Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
  • Collaborate with local management and staff to identify compliance risks.
  • Ensure the implementation of CBRE's Global Ethics & Compliance program deliverables across the region in line with company standards and requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Facilitating periodic risk assessments.
  • Overseeing annual Standards of Business Conduct certifications and employee disclosures.
  • Managing governance and updates of regional policies aligned with global standards.
  • Training staff on local risks and new compliance initiatives.
  • Establishing risk-based monitoring processes within the region.
  • Securing leadership engagement through policy updates and training.
  • Providing compliance advice and supporting investigations.
  • Coordinating with support functions and providing feedback on remediation actions.
  • Promoting a Speak-Up culture and participating in management forums.
  • Leading periodic Compliance Review Boards.
  • Supporting regional M&A due diligence and integration.
  • Guiding on client RFP compliance responses.
  • Contributing to the development of the global Ethics & Compliance team.

What you will need :

  • 15+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a Big 4 background.
  • Experience within the UK and European regulated industries, especially financial services.

Other Skills and Abilities :

  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a multinational matrix organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Manage and support Field Compliance Officers across the EMEA region, including staffing, training, and performance management, exemplifying CBRE's values.
