We’re Hiring! a Backend Software Engineer at Verbio

This is a fully remote role, open only to candidates residing in Spain (preferred) or any EU member state.

At Verbio, we are shaping the future of Human-Machine communication through AI-powered speech technologies. Our solutions include Speech Recognition, Text-to-Speech, Natural Language Understanding, and Virtual Assistants, enabling seamless voice interactions across industries. We’re looking for a Backend Software Engineer to help develop Speech Center, our cloud-based platform for AI-driven voice assistants that engage in natural conversations over the phone.

What you’ll do : Develop and optimize the core components of our cloud technology. Build and maintain AI-powered cloud services and APIs. Ensure high performance, scalability, and efficiency in our systems. Work with AI researchers and engineers to integrate ML models into production. Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

Our Tech Stack : Languages : Python, C++, Rust Backend : REST APIs, gRPC, WebSockets Infrastructure : Docker, Linux, GitLab CI / CD Databases : MySQL, PostgreSQL AI / ML : PyTorch, ONNX

What we’re looking for :

• 5+ years of experience in Python, C++, or Rust.
• 2+ years working with REST APIs, WebSockets or gRPC.
• Expertise in Scalable AI-Integrated Backends.
• Experiencie with cloud deployments (ideally AWS).
• Experience with Docker, Linux, and CI / CD tools.
• Passion for high-quality code, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Versatile in DevOps Practices.
• English B2+ (you’ll work in an international team).
