nscglobal's Head of Global Logistics Management is a critical role responsible for ensuring the timely and correct delivery of hardware to customers. With approximately 50% of revenues derived from network hardware sales, this role significantly impacts revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The focus is on managing all logistics elements, including inventory, warehousing, staging, reverse logistics, and import / export management, to deliver high-quality services. Given the company's growth, this role aims to drive radical change to support future infrastructure and quality enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationships from tender to business integration.
  • Collaborate with multiple project teams.
  • Ensure operations meet SLAs, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Manage regional third-party carriers, selecting best-in-class providers and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and customs laws, keeping ahead of legal changes.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to develop regional service offerings.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Operations, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Commercial.
  • Develop, critique, and present proposals and reports with business cases.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain from procurement to delivery.
  • Implement strategic plans to improve supply chain operations.
  • Manage people development, HR issues, and recruitment.
  • Be available to visit customer sites and third-party providers as needed.

Qualifications

  • Deep logistical knowledge of movements within the EU post-Brexit, focusing on cost-effective and compliant travel paths.
  • Strong background in Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain management.
  • Experience managing large-scale customer transactions.
  • Degree qualification is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of Warehouse / Operations Management experience.
  • Experience with IT hardware logistics distribution is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs, and import / export processes, including IOR / EOR.
  • Previous roles at Warehouse Manager, Site Manager, Depot Manager, or similar senior logistics positions.
  • Global experience and a passion for sustainability.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification is desirable.
  • Experience managing a P&L up to £2M, monitoring costs and reallocating non-logistics expenses appropriately.
  • Proven track record in delivering high service levels through third-party carriers.
  • Results-oriented, commercially focused, with upselling skills.
  • Ability to identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
  • Industry experience in a management role.
  • Data utilization skills to identify risks, opportunities, and develop innovative ideas.
