Job Summary

To underwrite a Renewable Energy account within the Energy team, providing counsel on underwriting and market issues. Offer technical expertise to maintain and enhance Beazley's market reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Underwriting

• Develop and underwrite a profitable Renewable Energy portfolio as part of the Energy team and MAP Risks division.
• Structure tailored solutions considering underwriting parameters and policies to win new business and retain clients.
• Monitor premiums, costs, and claims ratios; take corrective actions for profitability.
• Evaluate risk premiums considering risk costs, reinsurance, capital exposure, and administrative costs.
• Supervise daily work of peer underwriters and assistants to ensure profitability and compliance.
• Adhere to Lloyd’s and Beazley’s underwriting standards.

Client Management

• Advise and service clients on insurance and risk management to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and brokers.

General

• Leverage networking to develop underwriting policies and best practices.
• Share knowledge across teams and maximize business opportunities.
• Create presentations, marketing materials, and research documents.
