Data Oversight Consultant

SOTEC Consulting - Astek Group is seeking a Data Oversight Consultant to join our team and develop their career in tech projects.

Experience: 2 years

Location: 100% remote

Mandatory Skills: Intermediate knowledge of structured data, relational databases (SQL), repository tools, and metadata. Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand data risk appetite and design appropriate mitigating controls. Capable of creating comprehensive process documentation to meet relevant requirements (e.g., SoX). Proficient in identifying data quality problems, performing root cause analyses, and assessing business impact of data defects. Able to use appropriate tools to generate management and executive reports on controls and outcomes. Skilled in interpreting complex technical information and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have: Ability to select suitable tools and techniques to ensure data quality in business processes and data flows. Knowledge of internal policies related to data (e.g., Data Management & Data Governance).

Responsibilities: Designing and implementing controls, supporting UAT testing of controls, ensuring controls are implemented to standards, and maintaining control documentation regularly.
