Senior Python Developer (Barcelona Based, Hybrid)

Job Purpose

Oversee and standardize the operations of domestic airports, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic pillars, corporate regulations, and strategic goals to deliver safe, efficient, and customer-focused ground operations while optimizing costs and meeting revenue targets.

Main Responsibilities

1. Ensure the safe and compliant operation of ground activities across all domestic airports according to regulatory and corporate safety standards.
2. Develop and enforce standardized operational procedures across all domestic airports to ensure consistency in service delivery and compliance.
3. Maintain service quality and ensure adherence to contract terms across all domestic airports.
4. Provide strategic guidance and operational input to other departments, such as business development, to influence decisions on airport partnerships and expansions.
5. Optimize revenue collection from ancillary services such as baggage fees, seat upgrades, and other airport-based transactions, including digital and physical channels.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Management, or Business Administration.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years in ground operations, preferably within an airline or ground handling organization. Must have a comprehensive understanding of ground operations processes, including safety regulation compliance. Strong financial management skills are essential, with the ability to optimize budgets and meet cost efficiency and revenue targets. Experience in standardizing processes across multiple sites to improve efficiency and consistency. Familiarity with digital transformation and sustainability goals in airport operations is also required. Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to lead teams, make strategic decisions, and drive operational excellence. Strong budget management skills and the ability to balance cost optimization with revenue maximization are crucial.
