The Project Manager at Univeris-TechRules supports the Professional Services Director in driving software development initiatives across multiple cross-functional teams. Focused on results, the Project Manager supports alignment across teams as they deliver to objectives. The Project Manager helps maintain the overall health of software development initiatives, stepping in to proactively remove obstacles, mitigate risks and address issues as required.

Reporting to the Professional Services Director, the Project Manager supports the software delivery process at Univeris-TechRules.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities :

The Project Manager will be accountable for :

  • Quality and Timeliness of the final product each release
  • Maintaining consistent methods across all product teams
  • Delivering continuous improvement of cross-team efficiency and SDLC practices over time
  • Providing a high degree of visibility into the health of the overall product development program at all times

The Project Manager will achieve success in supporting the Professional Services Director on these accountabilities through the following responsibilities :

  • The prime escalation point for all cross-team work items through planning, estimation, design, development, testing, implementation, client deployment and transition to support activities for product development initiatives.
  • Driving and facilitating continuous grooming and maintenance of all Program Backlogs.
  • Enforcing continuous grooming and maintenance of all Team Backlogs.
  • Driving and facilitating the preparation, readiness, scheduling and execution of all Cross-Program Planning activities.
  • Tracking, Monitoring, Communication and Escalation of all cross-team delivery objectives and all major delivery impediments.
  • Escalating cross team issue resolution and risk mitigation efforts to a conclusion for complex cross-discipline issues through creative solutions and innovative ideas.
  • Identifying and implementing the measurement of necessary metrics to measure the progress and effectiveness of projects / teams.
  • Enforcing technology standards and processes, including standard SDLC methodology when applicable.
  • Driving and facilitating the integration of product teams with cross-program teams including DevOps, Release Management, Integration Teams, System Teams and Infrastructure.
  • With the support of Customer Success, driving and facilitating closure of UAT defects across teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving cross-team output quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Providing people management for cross-program teams, nurturing talent and fostering career growth in our people.

Proficient in English and Spanish is a must.

Technical Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years managing large scale products or programs, 3+ years in software engineering
  • Strong working experience in iterative software delivery methodologies – Agile, SCRUM, etc.
  • Strong working experience in project management tools - JIRA, Monday, etc.
  • Working experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is an asset.
  • Background in the financial services industry is preferred.
