Databricks Platform Engineer

This job involves working in a consulting role for a large insurance company from The Netherlands. The position is mostly remote, allowing you to live anywhere in Spain. It is a permanent Spanish contract, with occasional meetings for social events or training in Madrid or Malaga.

What you will do

1. Manage and innovate the Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra Data platforms used across the company within the focus area of Data Governance.
2. Facilitate the use of these platforms by providing support and maintaining communication with data engineers and other technical stakeholders, enabling them to create innovative data solutions and products with our Data Governance solutions.
3. Carry out Operations & Service Delivery including Change Management, Configuration Management, Life-cycle Management (LCM), and resolving complex incidents and problems.
4. Ensure Security and Compliance are maintained according to company policies and procedures.
5. Proactively enhance infrastructure availability and stability, including monitoring, reliability management, and developing/deploying automations through CI / CD pipelines on Azure Cloud.

Who you are

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree and have a thinking level suitable for the role.
• You have 3+ years of experience in IT and change projects.
• You possess basic knowledge of Data Management and Data Engineering.
• You have experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra Data platforms.
• You have knowledge and skills in Azure Cloud infrastructure, systems, and tools.
• You have experience with Azure DevOps, particularly in setting up pipelines.
• You have a good command of spoken and written English.
• You have demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
