Overview

Element has an exciting opportunity for a Product Qualification Testing Engineer to join our growing team in Seville, Spain.

This role is within our Product Qualification Testing Department, providing various non-standard tests including structural, qualification, and environmental testing across sectors such as mechanical, pressurization, temperature, and vibration.

You will become proficient in configuring control and acquisition systems, ensuring their proper operation and commissioning. You will also support and interact with customers on technical issues.

The PQT Test Engineer must be proficient in core skills such as compliance with quality and safety standards, company policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained according to company policies.
  • Evaluate customer needs and provide suitable designs.
  • Provide instrumentation plans, technical instructions, and support to technicians.
  • Select and configure acquisition and control equipment, checking its operation.
  • Execute tests and assist with complex test systems.
  • Evaluate sensors and equipment to ensure proper functioning and calibration.
  • Assist in project engineering and coordination, ensuring quality and timely delivery of test reports.
  • Perform test work orders and execute non-standard tests.
  • Report, review, and deliver test results; sign off test reports for customers.
  • Provide technical customer support in collaboration with the project manager and interface with clients regularly.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Knowledge of mechanical calculations and technical drawing.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Matlab).
  • Project management skills.
  • Effective English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions during the workday.

  • Ability to multitask and work under strict deadlines.
  • Prioritization skills and flexibility to adjust as needed.
