Responsibilities

  1. Manage Murex Application: possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with business users and the vendor.
  2. Work closely with Front Office (FO) users to manage and resolve system issues.
  3. Understand requirements to enhance existing functionality.
  4. Resolve issues independently and deliver solutions that meet FO requirements.
  5. Analyze and resolve issues related to system configuration, P&L analysis, simulation views, static data, GOM, market data, market operations, EOD, pre-trade, etc.
  6. Coordinate with technical support, other business support teams, and the Murex vendor as needed.
  7. Escalate issues/risks promptly to IT and Business managers.
  8. Provide detailed issue information to the vendor and coordinate testing of fixes/solutions.
  9. Act as an intermediary between business and vendor.
  10. Perform routine administrative and technical tasks to maintain the system.
  11. Work on small BAU projects to deliver extended functionality and enhancements, familiar with SDLC.
  12. Assist in resolving issues around system configuration, User Groups, Access Rights, Portfolios, etc.
  13. Provide training to business users and support adaptation to the Murex environment.
  14. Prepare and send timely status reports to IT/Business managers.
  15. Ensure documentation and deliverables meet standards.
  16. Work under pressure to resolve critical issues and meet project deadlines.

Support related to Front Office static data creation and work on change requests (RFC) and enhancements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Murex FO experience with in-depth understanding.

Must-have skills / experience:

  • Product knowledge (asset classes: Rates, Commodities, FX).
  • Deal booking, pricing, events, e-tradepad, and simulation issues.
  • Analysis of Market data issues, maturity set, fixings, instrument configuration, simulation, P&L issues, payments, etc.
  • Basic accounting knowledge, including rules, MTM, and related concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business teams.
  • Configuration and static data setup for portfolios, counterparties, products, mappings.
  • Familiarity with Murex screens like OSP, reporting; ability to debug/analyze trade issues, payment scopes, reporting, and interfaces.
  • Experience in system configuration, P&L analysis, simulation views, static data, GOM, market data, market operations, EOD, pre-trade, etc.
  • Extensive experience resolving issues around system configuration, User Groups, Access Rights, Portfolios, etc.
  • Debugging skills.
  • Fundamentals of Oracle and/or SQL Server RDBMS; good SQL skills.
  • Unix experience.
  • Experience working with Jira and Agile SDLC methodologies.
