Product Development Specialist - Chemistry

We are seeking a Product Development Specialist with expertise in Chemistry .

YOUR CHALLENGE :

• Lead the design, development, and execution of innovative, nutritionally, and sensorially superior products.
• Drive formulation design of new plant-based products using in-depth chemistry knowledge.
• Serve as the chemistry expert within the Product Development team, advising on flavor, color, ingredient interactions, stability, and shelf life.
• Manage R&D projects from prototyping to market launch, collaborating with PMO and Marketing, including :
• Conduct feasibility studies using existing or in-house technologies
• Define DOE and perform bench experiments
• Lead pilot and industrial trials
• Create and maintain specifications
• Conduct stability and shelf life tests
• Communicate project progress
• Leverage internal and external expertise as needed

Translate insights into technical briefs in partnership with marketing and sales, based on consumer needs. Contribute to the product pipeline through scientific understanding of ingredients and technologies. Coach and develop junior team members. Represent R&D in cross-functional meetings, ensuring project governance. Maintain documentation for IP protection.

• A Bachelor's or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields with a strong chemistry background.
• 5+ years in Food Product or Technology Development , preferably in plant-based sectors.
• Experience working with external manufacturers is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Spanish .
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, dynamic team.
• A curious, self-starting attitude suitable for a fast-paced environment.
• Results-oriented mindset with innovative problem-solving skills.
• Leadership skills to develop team spirit and handle challenges with tenacity.
• Excellent project management and coaching abilities.
