Position Overview :

1. Development & operation of internal developer platform for IaC-based Developer Self Service integrating with a wide variety of infrastructure and platform components (Python, Yaml, GitLab & GitHub CI, Ansible and more)
2. Development of a Kubernetes-based application deployment to replace the VM-based Ansible deployment (ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize, GitOps)
3. Development, implementation & operation of the Kubernetes infrastructure (Currently Rancher, perspectively k0s, Ceph storage, virtual and bare-metal hosts)
4. Further development of the Ansible-based IaC landscape
5. Troubleshooting of complex problems in distributed systems

Main Tasks :

1. Kubernetes Cluster Mastery: Lead the management, operation, development, and continuous improvement of our Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications, maintaining highly stable and reliable environments for our services.
2. Advanced Linux Infrastructure Management: Employ advanced techniques and orchestration technologies, including Ansible and OpenTofu, to efficiently manage, develop, and optimize our Linux-based systems and virtual machines (VMs), ensuring exceptional performance, maintainability, and reliability.
3. Security Expertise and Compliance Leadership: Spearhead the development and implementation of security measures, backup strategies, and compliance initiatives to fortify our data and systems. Monitor incidents and respond promptly to maintain system reliability.
4. Provide Expert-Level User Support: Offer advanced technical support to users, resolving complex queries and concerns promptly, and ensuring an excellent user experience.
5. Meticulous Documentation Management: Create, update, maintain, and enhance comprehensive documentation to foster transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
6. Oversee Complex IT Projects: Take a senior role in planning, executing, and managing critical IT projects, ensuring their successful delivery and strategic alignment.
7. Advanced Training: Share expertise and mentor colleagues to attain advanced proficiency in specific applications and tools.
8. Platform Architecture: Design and architect the platform to meet current and future business needs, considering scalability, reliability, and security.

Platform Ownership :

1. Assume full ownership of the TP Cloud Platform, ensuring its operation, performance, and continual innovation.
2. Toolchain Management: Lead management of development, collaboration, and infrastructure tools, employing best practices.
3. Infrastructure Excellence: Maintain, optimize, and innovate network, server, Kubernetes, and database infrastructures using advanced technologies.
4. Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning to enhance IT infrastructure and services.
5. Development & Operation of an Internal Developer Platform: Focus on IaC-based Developer Self Service.
6. Kubernetes-based Application Deployment: Develop and implement Kubernetes-based application deployments.
7. Development, Introduction & Operation of Kubernetes Infrastructure: Utilize Rancher for infrastructure development.
8. Advancement of Ansible-based IaC Landscape: Continue to develop and enhance this landscape.
9. Troubleshooting Complex Problems: Address and resolve issues in distributed systems.
