About the role :

The Head of Cloud Platform & Engineering is a strategic and hands-on leadership role within a growing, multicultural Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering team. Responsible for both technical and people leadership, the role focuses on delivering enterprise-wide Cloud Strategy, modernizing legacy infrastructure, and embedding security, automation, and scalability into the company's cloud DNA.

This position offers an opportunity to drive the evolution of a global enterprise cloud platform, modernize legacy systems, and promote security, automation, and scalability. You will shape strategy, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate across technical domains to accelerate innovation and platform maturity.

What you'll be doing :

You will lead a team of 10 cloud engineers to develop a global enterprise cloud ecosystem. Responsibilities include :

• Leading the roadmap and development of features in the Azure Enterprise Landing Zone
• Defining and evolving the Landing Zone strategy using CAF and Well-Architected Framework principles
• Ensuring governance, security, and compliance are integrated into platform foundations
• Improving core components like networking, identity, monitoring, logging, and cost controls
• Supporting migration of legacy apps into the cloud platform
• Partnering with Architecture to ensure solutions follow cloud-native design principles
• Coaching development teams on IaC, CI / CD, and DevSecOps best practices
• Overseeing automation efforts and modernization roadmaps

Platform Operations & Support :

• Ensuring resilience, disaster recovery readiness, and uptime
• Resolving recurring incidents and enforcing SLI / SLO practices
• Overseeing platforms like the Global Data Platform, Web Platform, and AI Gateway
• Promoting observability initiatives like OpenTelemetry and full-stack monitoring
• Leading and developing a global team of 10 Cloud Platform Engineers
• Fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and excellence
• Collaborating with Architecture, Security, Networking, Identity, API, Data, and App Dev teams

What We're Looking For :

• 5+ years designing and managing secure, scalable cloud platforms
• Experience leading cloud engineering teams in enterprise environments
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, especially Landing Zones, governance, and automation
• Hands-on skills in Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CI / CD, and DevOps tools
• Strong architectural background and automation-first mindset
• Experience with high-availability, multi-region setups, and observability
• Knowledge of cloud security, identity, and API governance
• Experience with DR, FinOps, and cloud cost management
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, OpenAI, REST, GraphQL
• Knowledge of Azure services like AKS, Container Apps, WAF, Traffic Manager, App Service, Logging, API Management
• Comfort working in Agile and platform product ownership environments
