Responsibilities:

  • Read and react to the manufacturing daily plan in the moment
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Manage change and navigate ambiguity effectively
  • Drive accountability through people and processes, including difficult conversations in a unionized environment
  • Work effectively with all levels of the organization, demonstrating high interpersonal skills
  • Apply analytical skills to solve complex problems
  • Conduct checks and tests, and communicate evaluation results
  • Recommend solutions to problems
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and equipment diagnosis
  • Meet schedule and quality standards
  • Comply with local and national labor agreements
  • Implement divisional and corporate policies, safety, and housekeeping practices
  • Collaborate frequently with external contacts
  • Utilize personnel, materials, and equipment effectively
  • Plan actions to complete jobs and projects
  • Knowledge of GMS principles
  • Complete daily payroll, overtime requests, and proper coding

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills in complex situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, conflict management, decision-making in ambiguity
  • Willingness to work weekends and rotating shifts

  • Experience with Body Shop, Welding, Sealing, Joining technologies, and Automation
  • Error proofing expertise in Electrical/Mechanical systems
  • Manufacturing floor and process flow experience
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Rockwell/Allen Bradley controls and Fanuc robots
